WHAT HERITAGE CAN DO

From confusion to a structured, source-backed case workspace.

Use Heritage to understand the record, research the law, prepare user-directed documents and check procedure without hiding unresolved gaps.

CHOOSE HOW YOU WANT HELP

Stay self-service or escalate only when you need to.

Heritage keeps the user's case workspace intact as they move between self-service tools, permitted support and independent licensed legal help.

FROM PROBLEM TO PREPARATION

One connected case-preparation system.

The workflow connects intake, jurisdiction, research, evidence, drafting, compliance, execution, filing, service and follow-up.

THE HERITAGE LEGAL KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM

A national legal research architecture built around the actual source.

Federal, state, court, agency, police, procedural and jurisprudential materials are organized by jurisdiction, authority level, date and verification status.

WHY HERITAGE IS DIFFERENT

The system should be able to show why.

Heritage is designed to expose sources, gaps, uncertainty and court requirements instead of simply producing confident-looking text.

Enter a case number and the exact court. Heritage searches publicly available official court sources and trusted public docket repositories, shows you what's available with direct source links, and flags coverage gaps. Nothing is saved unless you sign in.

What Heritage finds
  • Public docket metadata from official court sources
  • Case identity match (Exact / Likely / Possible)
  • Direct source links you can verify independently
  • Coverage gaps and login-required records flagged
  • Plain-language case snapshot — no jargon
COMMON QUESTIONS

Know what to expect before you begin.

Is Heritage Pro Se a law firm?+

No. Heritage Pro Se LLC is a legal-technology and self-representation preparation platform. Nonlawyer staff do not represent clients as attorneys. Clients remain the decision-makers, and independent licensed counsel can be used for legal advice or review.

Can Heritage review a case that is already in court?+

Yes. If you already have a case, enter the court and case number or upload documents you are allowed to share. Heritage can help organize what happened, explain each paper in everyday language, show dates and next-step options, and guide you through preparing your own response. It will identify information it cannot verify and show official sources when available. You decide what to do, review every draft, and remain responsible for filing and serving it.

Can I upload pleadings, discovery, transcripts, exhibits, police reports, or court orders?+

Yes. Heritage includes private document-upload workflows in Command AI, Existing Case Intelligence, Discovery Intelligence, and case workspaces. Uploaded records are treated as case evidence, not automatically as verified legal authority.

Will Heritage tell me what it thinks I should do next?+

Heritage can explain what your papers say, why a step may matter, what options may be available, what each option requires, and how to prepare. It should use everyday words and define legal terms where they appear. For each possible next step, it should show what to check, what to gather, which form or document may be needed, how filing and service usually work in that court, and which deadlines still need confirmation. When the record or rules are incomplete, it must say so; you choose what to do and may take the results to a licensed lawyer for review.

Does Heritage automatically file documents with the court?+

No. Heritage prepares and checks user-directed materials, but it does not automatically file documents or impersonate a litigant or attorney. Filing remains the client's responsibility unless a lawful authorized filing service is separately offered and clearly identified.

How does Heritage handle court-specific rules?+

Heritage treats federal/state rules, local rules, standing orders, judge-specific requirements, mandatory forms, formatting, service, e-filing, redaction, fees, and filing procedures as separate verification layers. Missing court-specific sources remain visible gaps.

Can Heritage help with mandamus, appeal, due process, or rights violations?+

Heritage includes structured Rights Protection, due-process, court-access, issue-preservation, appeal/review, standards-of-review, and remedy pathways. It screens ordinary remedies, jurisdiction, preservation, deadlines, threshold requirements, and source coverage before presenting an extraordinary-writ or other remedy as a possible pathway.

Can Heritage work in languages other than English?+

Yes. Heritage includes more than 90 language/locale choices and is being built for multilingual text, document explanation, language-aware legal research, supported live microphone transcription, and spoken responses where the user's browser/device exposes the necessary speech capabilities. Legal citations and source identity are preserved during translation.

Can a lawyer review what Heritage finds?+

Yes. Heritage can organize findings, authorities, contrary authority, record gaps, timing concerns, recommendations, and draft candidates into a verification packet that the client can bring to current counsel or another licensed lawyer of their choosing.

Does Heritage guarantee that a case will win or that a filing will be accepted?+

No. Heritage does not guarantee outcomes or court acceptance. It is designed to improve preparation, source transparency, record organization, issue spotting, drafting quality, and court-rule checking while clearly identifying unresolved gaps.

Is Heritage Pro Se a law firm?+

No. Heritage Pro Se LLC is a self-representation support and legal-technology platform. You remain the self-represented party. Licensed attorney services, when available, are provided independently by licensed professionals.

What happens if Customer Service AI cannot solve my platform problem?+

Registered clients can escalate from Customer Service AI to the Heritage human-support queue. The prior support conversation is preserved so an authorized Heritage support user can review it and respond without forcing the client to start over.

Can I learn what a section does before paying for it?+

Yes. You should be able to select a feature on the main page and read a clear, detailed explanation of what it means, what it can help you do, how you would use it, and which membership or case-pass level is needed for the interactive tool. Reading that explanation does not require an upgrade. Your account or paid access controls which tools you can actually run; a preview never reveals another person's case information or unlocks a paid feature.

What can Heritage help me do?+

Heritage is designed to help organize matters and evidence, research source-backed law and procedure, prepare user-directed documents, check court requirements, track deadlines, and connect users to licensed legal help when needed.

Does Heritage guarantee a filing will be accepted or that I will win?+

No. Heritage can identify and check known requirements from available sources, but courts control filing acceptance and case outcomes. Critical unverified requirements are flagged instead of being treated as confirmed.

How does Heritage keep legal information current?+

Heritage uses source registries, scheduled law-update monitoring, corpus backfill cursors, research-gap acquisition, and jurisdiction coverage tracking. Coverage status and unresolved source gaps remain visible rather than being hidden.

Build your case with the record, the rules, and the law in front of you.

Start as a self-represented litigant, use Heritage's source-first tools, and access licensed legal help when you need it.

Heritage Pro Se LLC is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation or substitute for licensed legal counsel. Information and document-support tools are intended for self-represented users. Licensed attorneys available through any directory or referral service are independent providers.
